Wellness is a critical part of the Junior ROTC Program. The physical health of our cadets, physical restrictions and medication they may be taking needs to be known. Allergies and reactions to food, insect bites, and other issues need to be known as well to make our environment positive and safe. Safety of cadets is paramount to our program.
Events and activities that cadets are involved in require identification of physical issues. The Wellness program consists of three main parts:
1. Physical Fitness and the Presidential Fitness Program.
2. Drill and Ceremonies
3. Cadet functions, to include Curriculum in Action, Summer Leadership Activities, Drill Meets and so on.
Cadets and parents need to fill out the latest available wellness forms. Information is used to monitor and restrict cadets physical activities to guarantee their safety. No sports physical is required by our program, however, detailed information is important to instructors in order to keep your child safe at all times. Personal information is maintained in AFJROTC WINGS Program, and it is protected under HIPAA (Health Insurance portability and Accountability Act) privacy guidelines.
