  • Harlingen's public schools finish school year strong

    Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District closed another school year on Saturday, May 26 with the graduation of 980 young men and women from Harlingen High School, Harlingen High School South and Early College High School. In his weekly message, Superintendent Dr. Steve Flores thanked all of the HCISD's staff for their hard work in preparing the district's graduates for college and the workforce.

But no matter what the impact graduations will play on your family this spring, remember that graduation marks a new beginning in the lives of every graduate, Superintendent Dr. Steve Flores said in his weekly message.   • HCISD hopes to be leader through Texas High Performance Schools Consortium

    The effective educators of Harlingen CISD work to bring complete education experiences to the students in our schools. Assessing the success of our schools is contingent upon the achievements of students in enrichment activities like athletics, arts, and academic competitions, as well as on state testing. Dr. Steve Flores spoke about these ideas and Senate Bill 1557, which calls for the formation of the Texas High Performance Schools Consortium, during his weekly Superintendent's Message.

     The Performing Arts Center and Ag Farm facility projects are sure to be tipping points in the future of HCISD's students, Superintendent Dr. Steve Flores said in his weekly message.
