Mr. Travis is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma.  Mr. Travis has taught in the Harlingen area since 1988.  Mr. Travis entered the education vocation because he believes as Horace Mann stated, “Education … is the great Equalizer of the conditions of men...”  Mr. Travis’ goal is to assist Coakley Middle School’s students to achieve their fullest potential and to be “Simply the Best!”
