    Major Gonzalez was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.  He spent 22 and half years of active duty military service in the U.S. Air Force.  During his enlisted service, he served as a Certified Weather Observer and Forecaster at different locations in the United States and overseas.  As an officer, Major Gonzalez served in a variety of assignments to include being a Wing Weather Officer, an Instructor and Instructor Supervisor, a Flight Commander, an Air Advisor/Weather Liaison, and a Director of Operations.  He served in both Operation Iraqi Freedom at Kirkuk Air Base in northern Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom at Kabul, Afghanistan.  His education includes an Associate Degree in Weather Technology, a Bachelor’s of Science in General Education, and a Master’s Degree in Military History.  Maj. Gonzalez became the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at Harlingen High School South in November of 2014.
