Family dedicates tree; school starts scholarship

The students and staff of Austin Elementary came together on Friday morning to honor the memory of a beloved school counselor.Isabel Reyes died from cancer several years ago, but her memory will live on with the planting of a tree in front of Austin's campus. The school will also commence a scholarship fund in her name for graduating high school seniors who attended Austin.

Austin Elementary Cultural Arts Day

Austin Elementary students participated in their annual Multi-Cultural Fair on Friday. Each grade level represented different countries in which they learned songs and dances.

Knights prep for TAKS with rally, fun

On Friday, February 25, 2011, Austin Elementary held a TAKS Peprally to pump up the students to pass on the English TAKS test.
