New Principal - Stuart Place Elementary
HCISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Mrs. Michele Todd as the new principal of Stuart Place Elementary during a special meeting on Feb 22, 2012. Mrs. Todd comes to Stuart Place with 23 years of experience in HCISD, serving as a third grade teacher at Ben Milam Elementary, a sixth grade teacher at Treasure Hills Elementary and her current role as assistant principal at Wilson Elementary for the past 15 years. "Give A Dog A Bone" -
Humane Society Fundraiser
Feb 6-10, Stuart Place participated in the 2nd annual "Give a Dog a Bone' campaign. Receiving the $1646 donation from 1st grader Jonathan Garcia is Humane Society of Harlingen Board Member Chandra Phillips. (10Feb2012)

Academic Olympians
Stuart Place students competed on Saturday, Nov 19, 2011 and returned home with 12 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals and 1 Bronze medal in various academic categories.

Red Ribbon Week
Richard Tamayo of the Immigration Enforcement team helped Stuart Place kick off Red Ribbon Week.

Give Me 5!
The HEB cart overflows with books donated by Stuart Place Thunderbirds in support of HEB's Read3 Campaign. All books will be distributed during the annual Feast of Sharing dinners later this fall. Thank you HEB for helping nourish our minds, as well as our bodies!!

Ronald McDonald House Donation
Students and staff of Stuart Place collected canned goods and other food packages to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Harlingen
