Author of the children's book series "The Black Lagoon" Michael Thaler visited Crockett Elementary on Monday, October 18.
The author talked to the children about the importance of reading and shared some of his drawings with a group of first and second graders.
"The most important time for developing our children as readers is when they are young," Thaler told KHGN's Corey Ryan. "You can tell the difference from a campus where their parents read to their children versus a campus where parents do not read to their children."
