HCISD Awarded $32,664.75 For Efforts To Decrease Energy Usage

Recently, the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District has been presented with a check from HALFF & Associates for $32,664.75.

The check was presented to the district as a result of efforts to decrease energy usage district-wide. The check will be assisting the Abraham P. Cano Freshman Academy with the production of higher efficiency lighting systems, which have already been installed into the school system.

The American Electric Power company rebate program awards schools with funding to reduce the amount of electricity require for their daily operations.
