The Harlingen CISD office of Advanced Academic Services manages several programs in conjunction with district and campus administrators, counselors, and teachers. Elementary students participate weekly in an enrichment class, are identified in the area of general intellectual ability, and are served in areas of language arts, math, science, and social studies. Secondary students in grades 6-12 are served through open enrollment in the Pre-Advanced Placement and Advanced Placement Program. High school students may also enroll in adjunct instructor classes through TSC and concurrent enrollment classes with UTRGV.
