Olympic Week at Summer ACE was full of energy, excitement, and epic moments! Our students dove into all things Olympics — exploring athletes, learning about sportsmanship, and staying active through health and fitness fun. They wrapped up the week with a fun trip to Creasy’s Bowling —where they showed off their aim, composure, form, and friendly competitiveness! From learning to moving, it was all about collaboration, concentration, fun, and going for gold!

This summer, SpawGlass, offered a Construction Camp where students got hands-on training in various skilled trades. Throughout the camp, students had an opportunity to visit construction sites, work on concrete paths, practice drywall installation, painting, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, and more! Thank you, SpawGlass, for visiting with our students and training them in these skills!

🎨📚 8th Grade Biography Project Spotlight! 🇺🇸✨ Our amazing 8th-grade Panthers recently wrapped up a creative and thoughtful biography project! Students selected and researched an early American historical figure, then brought them to life through a Funko Pop-style drawing. 🧑‍🎨🖌️ As part of the assignment, each student also wrote a reflective letter sharing their thoughts on the accomplishments and actions of their chosen figure. 💭✍️ We’re so proud of their creativity, critical thinking, and hard work! This weekend, our HCISD Middle School Speech Drama and Debate teams competed in Dallas at the Texas Middle School State Tournament against 33 schools and 332 competitors. Congratulations to each and every one of them on their hard work and success.

Esquivel! 🎉 We are proud to announce that the Harlingen Area Educational Foundation has awarded Ms. Esquivel, our amazing 6th Grade Science Teacher, a grant worth $𝟏,𝟕𝟏𝟖 to fund her "𝑹𝙤𝒍𝙡𝒊𝙣𝒈 𝑰𝙣𝒕𝙤 𝙎𝑻𝙀𝑴" 𝙈𝒐𝙗𝒊𝙡𝒆 𝑳𝙖𝒃! 🚐🔬🧪 The Rolling into STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math): Mobile Lab is designed to bring 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻, 𝗶𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝘆-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 directly to our 6th-grade innovators.
