Three Harlingen CISD educators have been selected for the prestigious Apple Distinguished Educator Program (ADE) Class of 2026, earning international recognition for their innovative use of technology to transform teaching and learning.

Brittany Garcia from Crockett Elementary, Alexandra Cornejo from Harlingen School of Health Professions, and Jacqueline Escobedo from Stuart Place Elementary were chosen as part of Apple’s 30th-anniversary ADE class which is an elite global cohort of educators recognized for creativity, leadership, and impact in the classroom.

The ADE Program, launched in 1995 by Apple, honors K–12 and higher education pioneers who leverage Apple tools such as iPad and Mac to design meaningful, student-centered learning experiences. As members of the Class of 2026, the HCISD educators join a worldwide community of more than 3,000 Apple Distinguished Educators representing over 45 countries.

Educators selected for the ADE distinction serve as pioneers, authors, ambassadors, and advisors. In these roles, they collaborate with peers across the globe, share best practices through lessons and publications, and provide insight on how technology shapes modern learning environments. Approximately 400 educators were inducted into the Class of 2026, including 99 from the United States.
