Harlingen CISD is proud to announce that, for the fourth year in a row, the district has been officially validated for the Teacher Incentive Allotment by the Texas Education Agency.

In February, the teachers were invited to the administration building to for the announcement.

“We're super excited,” Superintendent Dr. Veronica Kortan said. “At the beginning of the year, we talked about the value of passion and purpose and that is what you're doing. So, congratulations to every single one of you.”

This year, 445 teachers have been recognized through TIA. With this approval, HCISD will distribute $6.5 million in incentives to qualifying educators based on specific, data-driven criteria tied to student growth and professional performance.

“I'm super excited for myself and everyone else because we have worked so hard throughout last year,’ said teacher Cassandra Fraga. “I'm super excited to be offered the opportunity and super excited to celebrate that with everyone here.”
